KK: A Legend We Will Remember Forever…

Prominent Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away after suffering a heart attack on May 31, 2022, at the age of 53.

The singer was performing a concert at Nazrul Mancha Kolkata when he felt unwell and returned to the hotel. He was rushed to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) where the doctors declared him dead.

Fans are in a state of agony and shock. Losing India’s most loved singer is indeed heartbreaking. People from the film and music industries are offering their condolences. PM Narendra Modi also shared a heartfelt tweet to give his condolences.

KK started his career with the album ‘Pal’ which instantly became famous among the fans. He recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujrati languages. Some of his famous songs include “Yaaron”, “Pal”, “Tadap Tadap”, “Hai Junoon”, “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai”, “Aankhon Mein Teri”, “Tu Jo Mila” and many more such songs which received immense love from the people.

He also shared his photos of the concert on his social media account. KK, in his last performance on stage sang the song, “Hum rahen ya na rahen kal, kal yaad aayenge ye pal..”, a timeless song which the people are sharing on social media with an emotional note. KK gave a memorable performance hours before his death.

People are mourning over the loss saying, “The voice of love is gone”. KK had a special place in our hearts as KK’s songs were a part of our childhood and so have an emotional touch.

A user wrote, “From childhood to adulthood we grew up listening to KK’s songs, it feels like an era has passed away”.

It is disheartening to know that life can be so uncertain at times.

With a voice and talent like no other, KK will be always remembered in our hearts.
