Mahurat Of Jatin Bora’s New Assamese Film ‘Raghav’ Held, Poster Launched

The mahurat and poster launch of Raghav- a new Assamese feature film by popular actor-director Jatin Bora, was held recently at Jyoti Chitraban studio.

Produced under the banner of JB Productions, Raghav is Bora’s third movie as a director after Adhinayak (2006), and Ratnakar (2019).

Renowned Assamese film artists Vidya Rao, Malaya Goswami and Pranjal Saikia formally launched Raghav‘s poster at the event hosted by popular actor Kapil Bora.

Meanwhile, famous film distributor and Assamese film producer Shankar Lal Goenka garlanded and switched on the camera, Jyoti Chitraban Chairman Vidyasagar broke the auspicious coconut and veteran actress Seema Biswas gave away the mahurat clap.

On the occasion, a number of cultural journalists from Assam were also felicitated on behalf of the production team, which was attended by several dignitaries from the cultural, social, media, and other fields of Assam.

Apart from donning the director’s hat, Jatin Bora will also jointly produce the movie with his wife Navanita Sharma Bora.

Raghav‘s story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Abhijit Bhattacharya. The film’s chief assistant director is Arindam Kashyap.

The assistant directors are Anindita Kalita, Bhargav Adhyapak, Surajit Phukan, and Abhijit Chutia.

The music will be scored by popular musician Zubeen Garg. The lyrics are composed by Zubeen Garg, Diganta Kalita, and Rahul Gautam Sarma.

Debajit Changmai and Amrit Pritam would be designing the sound for the film, while Pradip Daimary will don the cinematographer’s hat.

Apart from Jatin Bora, the other actors include Mridula Baruah, Hiranya Deka, Nishita Goswami, Siddhartha, Nipon Goswami, newcomer Sumi Bora, Bibhuti Bhusan Hazarika, Chinmoy Kotoky, Rajiv Rajnish, Jyotishmaan Kashyap, Pabitra Barua, Bibhas Sinha, Dr Chinmoy Chakravarty, Dr Jayanta Das, and child artistes Priyank Jyoti Kalita, Manish Bhuyan, and Ashish Goswami.
