The Story Of Budheswar Wins Big Internationally

The Story of Budheswar, a Bodo documentary directed by Bishal Swargiary, has been winning making India proud at several international film festivals.

At the recently held Crown Wood International Film Festival, The Story Of Budheswar has been adjudged the Best Indian Documentary award.

The documentary also won the best documentary short film award at the Golden Leaf International Film Festival.

Apart from Swargiary, others involved with the award-winning documentary include Abhimanyu Hazarika (producer), and Biswajit Roy, Pinku Swargiary, and Umit Basumatary as co-producers.

Biswajit Roy and Bishal Swargiary have helmed the cinematography of the documentary. On-location sound has been done by Pinku Swargiary and Umit Basumatary. Arnab Bashistha has composed the music for the documentary. Mixing and mastering have been done by Ishanu and Vivaan. The colourist of the documentary is Uddipta Kumar Bhattacharya. The film's poster has been designed by Pranjal Medhi. Subtitles were composed by Shiva Muchahary. Meanwhile, additional footage was arranged by Ramesh Narzary and Partha Pratim Das. The documentary was edited by Dhiraj Das.

The documentary was also screened at South Asia’s largest film market, Film Bazaar, 2021, organised by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).

The film has also been selected for the 6th Sanctuary International Film Festival and the 2nd Calcutta International Short Film Festival.

The documentary was also screened at the 5th Global Youth Film Festival, held in Bangladesh from December 26-28, 2021.

The Story of Budheswar is based on the life of Budheswar Boro- a poacher-turned-nature lover.

Budheswar Boro joined the Manas Maozigendri Ecotourism Society, a part of the Manas National Park UNESCO World Heritage Site.
