Teenager Stabbed To Death in Delhi’s Usmanpur, Minor Detained
A 15-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute in northeast Delhi’s Usmanpur area, police said on June 2, 2026.
The incident came to light late on June 1, 2026 (Monday) night at around 10:30 pm, after police received information from Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital about a minor who had been admitted with multiple stab injuries.
The teenager later succumbed to his wounds.
According to investigators, the victim had gone to confront a group of youths after his younger brother was allegedly assaulted earlier in the day.
What began as an argument reportedly escalated into a violent confrontation, during which the teenager was attacked with knives.
Police have detained a 17-year-old boy in connection with the case. During questioning, the suspect allegedly admitted to having a previous dispute with the victim.
Officers also recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack.
The deceased, identified as Ayan Ansari, was a Class 10 student from the Gautam Vihar area of northeast Delhi.
Police said he lived with his parents and two younger brothers.
A forensic team examined the crime scene and collected evidence. Police are continuing their investigation and are trying to identify any other individuals who may have been involved in the attack.
