The bushfire in Australia in 2019-2020 was extremely devastating, which caused a lot of devastation to the country's wildlife.

Over 46 million acres of land were burned in thousands of fires from June 2019 till February 2020.

The fire destroyed around 80 per cent of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area in New South Wales and 53 per cent of the Gondwana world heritage rainforests in Queensland (QLD).

Nearly 2 million animals were killed in the bushfire, which also included koalas in large numbers.

Even though bushfires are common in Australia, however, the last bushfire was far more devastating in compared to the bushfires in the last few decades.
