Assam-based author and screenwriter Biswatosh Sinha has released his debut contemporary romance novel, Until Our Voices Meet, which is now available online on Amazon.

Published by Write India Publishers, the book follows the story of Ved Vikram Sinha, a young chef from Assam who leaves his hometown in search of a fresh start.

Set across Silchar, Kolkata and Bangalore, the novel explores loneliness, family expectations and the ways modern relationships are shaped by technology and distance.

In the story, Ved builds a life in Bangalore but struggles with isolation despite being surrounded by people. His family arranges a match with Beethi Sinha, a schoolteacher from his community. While the pairing appears stable and suitable, Ved finds the relationship formal and lacking emotional connection.

The narrative shifts when Ved discovers April through social media. What begins as a simple online interaction develops into a deeper bond through messages and calls.

Much of the novel unfolds through dialogue, focusing on the rhythm of conversations and the gradual growth of trust, understanding and emotional intimacy.

Through Ved and April’s exchanges, the book touches on themes including tradition versus independence, city life, belonging, mental health and the impact of honest communication on relationships.

"I wanted to write something that feels close to real life. We live in an age where we are always connected but rarely understood," the author said while speaking about the novel Until Our Voices Meet.

"This story is about two people who find each other not through perfection but through honesty. They listen, they argue, they care and through that they grow," he quickly added.

Until Our Voices Meet also reflects the author’s connection to his roots through Ved’s memories of Silchar, his reflections in Kolkata and his experiences in Bangalore.

As the relationship between Ved and April deepens, the story explores emotional conflict and personal choice, particularly when Ved is confronted with a revelation that forces him to reassess what he wants from love and life.
