CBSE Post-Result Services 2026: Over 1.6 Lakh Students Apply For Verification And Re-Evaluation
The CBSE Post-Result Services 2026 portal witnessed a massive response from students, with more than 1.6 lakh candidates submitting applications for verification and re-evaluation of their board examination results, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The applications covered more than 3.8 lakh answer books during the notified window between June 2 and June 7.
The board said the online application system remained operational throughout the designated period and was supervised by government technical agencies and experts from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The large volume of applications reflected extensive use of the post-result facilities by students seeking verification of marks, photocopies of evaluated answer sheets and re-evaluation of answers.
“During the above application period, more than 1.6 lakh candidates successfully submitted requests pertaining to over 3.8 lakh answer books, reflecting the extensive utilisation of the services by the candidates,” CBSE said.
The board’s clarification comes amid concerns raised by some students and parents regarding technical issues encountered while accessing the portal.
In particular, complaints relating to “Roll Number Not Found” messages had surfaced on social media during the application process. CBSE subsequently clarified that a substantial number of requests had been processed successfully and that the grievance redressal mechanism remained functional.
The post-result exercise also took place against the backdrop of reported cyberattack attempts targeting the CBSE’s online services.
The board recently lodged a complaint with Delhi Police after detecting coordinated cyberattacks on its Post-Result Services Portal.
However, CBSE maintained that its systems remained secure and operational due to continuous monitoring and technical safeguards.
Ahead of the post-result process, CBSE had introduced improvements to its re-evaluation framework and strengthened the digital infrastructure supporting answer-sheet verification and scrutiny.
The board had also collaborated with IIT experts to enhance portal stability and minimise disruptions during the high-traffic period.
The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examination results are among the most closely watched academic outcomes in the country, with lakhs of students opting for post-result services each year to review their evaluated answer scripts before proceeding with admissions and other academic decisions.
