Commemorating the birth anniversary of Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika, a free health camp was organised on September 8, 2025, at the All Assam Drivers’ Association office in Panjabari by the health–education channel Aroksha.
Nearly a hundred cab drivers took part in the camp, where tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol were conducted.
Senior physician Dr Saurav Deka provided consultations, while dietician Bandita Kalita offered dietary advice. Free medicines were also distributed to the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Aroksha founder Nitish Sarmah said the initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and ensuring people adopt cautionary measures before falling ill.
He added that Aroksha is committed to spreading awareness about various health issues through such programmes.
The camp was supported by Mahamantra Clinic and Diagnostic Research Centre, Marwari Hospitals, and Sun Pharma among other organisations.
