On July 15, 2022, the India Rankings 2022 was declared. A detailed report on the rankings and positions from Assam-
1. In the overall ranking of educational institutes, which includes colleges to research institutes, IIT Guwahati is Ranked 8, Gauhati University is ranked 64, NIT Silchar is ranked 76, Tezpur University is ranked 90, Assam University is ranked 155, and Dibrugarh University is ranked 163. A total of 131 institutes from Assam participated in this category.
2. In the list of Universities, Gauhati University is ranked 36, Tezpur University is ranked 59, Assam University is ranked 105, and Dibrugarh University is ranked 112.
3. National Law University and Judicial Academy is ranked 24 in the law category. There were 2 entries from Assam out of a total of 147 entries.
4. In the Pharmacy/pharmaceutical category, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati, is Ranked 13 and Dibrugarh University is ranked 47. Out of 400 total entries, Assam had 4 entries.
5. NIT Silchar is ranked 50 in the Research Institute category.
6. In Engineering, IIT Guwahati is ranked 7, NIT Silchar is ranked 38, IIIT Guwahati is ranked 112, and Tezpur University is ranked 123. There were 12 participating institutes from Assam in this category out of 1249 entries.
7. The total number of participants in the overall category was 1,875 total entries, and Assam had 31 entries.
8. The total number of participants in the college category was 2,270 and entries from Assam were 76.
9. There was no position from Assam in the management category. Out of 751 entries, Assam had 4 participating institutes.
10. No institute from Assam was ranked in the medical category as there were no participants.
11. No institute from Assam was ranked in the dental category as there were no participants.
12. No institute from Assam was ranked in the architecture category as there were no participants.
13. A total of nine educational institutes from Assam have been able to achieve a rank in different categories of India Rankings 2022.
