Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on January 22, 2021, inaugurated the Wahrew Bridge- India's longest arch bridge- at Sohbar.
The bridge is constructed at a cost of Rs 49.396 crore under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) scheme of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
Being India's longest arch bridge, it will connect Bholaganj and Sohbar to Nongri.
