Actor and model Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with her iconic appearance in the music video Kaanta Laga, has reportedly passed away at the age of 41.
According to news sources, Jariwala was brought to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on June 27, 2025, Friday afternoon by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three others.
However, hospital staff confirmed that she was already deceased upon arrival.
A member of the hospital’s reception team was cited in early media reports saying that Jariwala had “already passed away” by the time she was brought in, and that her husband and a few acquaintances had accompanied her.
The exact cause of death remains unknown, and no official statement has yet been issued by the family or her representatives.
Shefali Jariwala became a household name after her sensational performance in the remix of Kaanta Laga, which turned her into a pop culture phenomenon.
She later appeared in Bollywood films including Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan, and was a contestant in popular reality television shows such as Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13.
Known for her candid nature and social media presence, Jariwala was also a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and women's empowerment.
