Popular Bollywood actor and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta was the showstopper for designer Sanjukta Dutta on the last and the fifth day of the digital Lakme Fashion Week 2021 on March 21 (Sunday).

The talented actor, in her showstopping act, adorned Shukula- the brand new Mekhela Chador collection of noted Assamese fashion designer Sanjukta Dutta.

The actor looked absolutely stunning in this brand new collection.

"I am happy to display my new collection at the Lakme Fashion Week 2021," said designer Dutta.

"Lakme Fashion Week is the most prominent platform for every designer in the country to display their works and new collections," she added.

"It is both a challenge and a moment of honour for me to present my collection along with so many talented designers of the country," Dutta further added.

She further said that it was a pleasure for her to work with Lara Dutta and praised the actor for her humble and friendly nature.

"Through Shukula, I am trying to pass on a message of peace and a change that is vivid in nature," the talented designer added.

Sharing her thoughts on Dutta's collection, Lara Dutta said, "Shukula is like poetry woven in fabrics that reflects tranquillity."

The digital Lakme Fashion Week 2021 began on March 17 and was attended by several designers and Bollywood stars including Hina Khan, Pooja Hegde, and Ahana Kumra among others.

It may be mentioned here that Pooja Hegde looked stunning in a silver-sequenced lehenga, Hina Khan walked the ramp wearing a black ensemble.
