Nagaland: Art Competition To Promote Plastic-Free Sensitising Campaign

Tuensang is a town and is the headquarters of the Tuensang district of Nagaland. The town was founded in 1947 for administrating the erstwhile North Eastern Frontier Agency (NEFA).

To promote a plastic-free sensitising campaign in educational institutions, a painting and essay competition has been organised on February 23 at Tuensang in Nagaland.

Tuensang additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Ajit Kumar Verma informed that the painting and the essay competition among the school students will be held at Government Higher Secondary School in Thangjam.

The painting competition will be held under the theme “Plastic Free Schools/Tuensang Town” for the students from Class VI to Class VIII.

Meanwhile, the essay competition will be held under the theme “Challenges And Measures To Make Our Town Plastic-Free” for the students from Class IX to Class X.

On school can send only two participants in each category.

Sketch pens, chart papers, writing pens and papers will be provided at the venue.
