Northeast's First Pet Calendar To Be Launched On January 9

Northeast India's first-ever tabletop pet calendar will be launched in Guwahati on January 9, 2021, in at 16 Hillside, Hatigarh.

A total of 12 dogs were selected from around 150 dogs that participated at Northeast’s first-ever pet photography contest, which was organised online by Kute Pets- a multistore veterinary clinic and pet shop situated in Guwahati with two branches.

“Kute Pets took this initiative with the aim to boost pet photography in the northeast. The competition was held via Facebook keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic situation,” informed JP Nath- proprietor of Kute Pets.

“The 12 winners were elected on the basis of the number of likes, comments and shares each photograph received,” Nath further added.

"This is the first time that a pet calendar has will be brought out in Northeast. The entire team is feeling excited about the launch. We hope to continue this in the future as well," he added.

Nath further informed that a mobile app of Kute Pets will be launched soon and its first look will be unveiled after the launch of the pet calendar.

A photoshoot of the selected dogs was done on December 23, 2020, at Geetamandir hilltop by ace photographer Anup Baruah and his team.

Speaking to The Story Mug Baruah said he was thrilled to be a part of the entire process and expressed his happiness for organising the competition and the shoot.

"Pet photography is popular in several countries, It is for the first time that such a competition has been held here in Northeast. Shooting they dogs is challenging but I have loved it," he said.

Apart from the ceremonial launch, a series of performances have also been lined up for the evening and the performers for the evening are Pratyusha Hazarika, Birjis Salim, and Kumudini Saraswati.

Drools (Well Fed Well Bred), a popular dog food company, has stepped in as the title sponsors and Corise (In Support of Wellbeing) as the associate sponsors, the pet Kute Pets’ pet photography contest is all set to be an exciting one.

Powered by Pedigree, the pet photography contest is presented by Vetina Pawtect (Medical cover for your pet), Vivaldis (Animal Health) and Virbac (Caring for Animals).
