3 Militants Held in Manipur on Extortion Charges
Security forces have arrested three alleged militants linked to different banned outfits in Manipur in separate operations, police said.
According to a police statement, the arrests were made in Imphal West district.
The individuals are accused of involvement in extortion activities targeting local residents and institutions.
Security personnel also recovered incriminating materials during the operations.
The arrests form part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb militant activities and extortion networks operating in the state.
Investigations are continuing, and further action will be taken in accordance with the law, officials said.
