A black panther carcass has been found at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Manas National Park in Assam.
The body was discovered near the main entrance of the Bashbari range in the park's Central Zone last night.
The cause of death remains unknown at this point.
Forest department officials reached the spot and have begun an investigation into the incident.
