At least eight people have died and several others were injured in the Delhi blast incident that tore through a parked car near Gate No 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, opposite the historic Red Fort, on November 10, 2025, evening.

The explosion occurred at around 7 pm and was so powerful that it shattered windows of nearby vehicles and buildings, with the deafening sound heard across the area.

Following the blast, several vehicles caught fire, prompting the Fire Department to send seven tenders to the scene to douse the flames.

An eyewitness who sustained injuries said the car was parked barely a couple of feet away from him when it exploded.

He added that he could not tell whether the Delhi Blast was triggered by a bomb or some other cause.

Another shopkeeper described the horror, saying it felt “as if we were all going to die” and that he had never experienced such a loud explosion before.

Medical officials confirmed that eight victims were brought in dead, while several others are undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

In the aftermath of the Delhi blast incident, the city has been placed on high alert. Security has been tightened across the capital, particularly around the metro network and tourist-heavy areas.

A team from the Delhi Police Special Cell, along with forensic and counter-terrorism units, has begun investigating the cause of the explosion.

Authorities have not ruled out any possibility but said it is too early to determine whether the incident was accidental or a deliberate act.
