Guwahati City FC Academy clinched the '1st Talent Hunt U13 All Guwahati Inter-Coaching Centre Football League, 2021 title on February 28.
The competition was organised by Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) and it is a part of its talent identification competition.
In the final played at Sarusajai practice ground, Guwahati City FC defeated Narengi FCC 3-1.
For the winning side, defender Aryan Kishore Yadav scored twice and midfielder Pritam Brahma netted one.
For Narengi FCC, Manas Das scored the solitary goal during the injury time.
Guwahati City FC's midfielder Pritam Brahma was adjudged as the Player of the Tournament, while Aryan Kishore Yadav of the same team was adjudged as the Best Defender and Ayan Ahmed won the Best Goalkeeper award.
Dibya Pratim Basumatary of Guwahati City FC was the highest scorer of the tournament and he scored a total of 9 goals.
A total of 37 players were also selected from the tournament for a one-month coaching camp for the Guwahati district team which will be organized by the GSA for the state championship.
Moloy Bora, Commissioner of Sports & Youth Welfare Department was present on the occasion as the Chief Guest and encouraged the budding Footballers.
Dhrubajyoti Kalita, General Secretary, Guwahati Sports Association, Sunmita Bora, NRL officer, Krishanjan Chanda, Principal, Southpoint School, Ex international player Debashish Roy, former state player Motilal Das, Bikram Rabha and Gautam Dutta, vice-president, Assam Lawn ball Association were also present on the occasion.
All eight participating teams were presented with mementoes.
