Hima Das Praised From All Quarters

Ace sprinter Hima Das has vouched to work hard and win more medals for India.

She was responding to a tweet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday after her fifth gold medal.

"India is very proud of Hima Das' phenomenal achievements over the last few days," PM Modi tweeted.

"Everyone is absolutely delighted that she has brought home five medals in various tournaments," the tweet added.

"Congratulations to her and best wishes for her future endeavours," PM Modi further said.

In reply, Hima said, "Thank you Narendra Modi sir for your kind wishes."

"I will continue to work hard and bring more medals for our country," wrote the 'Dhing Express'.

Hima's exemplary feet was appreciated by President Ram Nath Kovind and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar among others.

"Loving the way you have been running in the European circuit over the last 19 days," Tendulkar tweeted.

"Your hunger to win and perseverance is an inspiration for the youth," further added the legend.

"Congrats on your 5 Medals! All the best for the future races, @HimaDas8," Tendulkar further wrote.

India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant also lavished praises on Hima Das.

In a tweet, he wrote, "You are an absolute inspiration @HimaDas8. The golden girl of India... salaam boss."

Meanwhile, responding to the congratulatory messages, the ace sprinter has thanked all.

In a tweet, Hima also revealed that she got a call from legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

"Today evening was like a dream come true for me, have got a call from the god of cricket and my inspiration Sachin Tendulkar sir," she wrote.

"Thank you, sir, for your good wishes and inspirational words. I will leave no stone unturned for my mission," further added Hima.

It may be mentioned here that Hima Das won her fifth gold medal inside a month.

She on Saturday clinched gold in the 400m race at Nove Mesto nad Metuji Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.

She clocked 52.09 seconds in the race.

The sprinter on July 2 won her first gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland.

This was her first 200m competitive race of the year.

At the Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland on July 8, Hima won her second gold in 200m race category.

Her third gold in 200m race came on July 13 at the Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic.

The fourth gold came on July 17 in 200m race category at the Tabor Athletics Meet
