Originally planned for Dharamshala, the match will now take place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, a decision made in consultation with local authorities and security agencies.

The BCCI has arranged for refunds for Dharamshala ticket holders and opened ticket sales for the Mumbai venue.
The relocation is expected to proceed smoothly, with the match set for May 11 as part of the IPL 2025 season, which runs from March 22 to May 25 across 13 Indian cities (Wikipedia).
This is not the first instance of IPL matches being affected by external factors. Previous seasons have seen relocations due to weather, political unrest, or logistical issues, reflecting the league’s adaptability.
The BCCI’s proactive stance underscores its commitment to safety amid a tense regional situation, ensuring the tournament continues to captivate cricket fans nationwide.
