Killer Leopard Captured In Uttar Pradesh

A three-year-old leopard was captured in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich area after it killed four children last week, officials with the forest department informed the media.

Officials with the Forest Service said they had set up bait stations in various places to catch the big cat. As soon as the leopard was caught on January 22, 2022, evening, villagers danced in glee.

The leopard has been sent for a medical examination by a team of doctors, according to Akash Deep Badhawan, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Katarniaghat range. After that, it will be chosen where the animal will be kept.

On January 17, 2022, the leopard killed Aditya, a four-year-old boy, according to a forest authority.

Ramtej, a nine-year-old boy, was slain two days later. Both attacks happened in the Katarniaghat range's Motipur.

The leopard struck again on January 21, 2022, mauling a 12-year-old girl.

Suhail, a five-year-old boy, was pulled away from his home on January 22, 2022, evening.

Hearing the boy's cries, his family members dashed outside, where they saw him horrifically injured. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died en route.
