What’s cooking? A special visit by Panchayat’s Bhushan and Binod to Assam?

Something exciting seems to be brewing! If rumours are to be believed, Bhushan and Binod—popular characters from Amazon Prime’s hit web series Panchayat—are heading to Assam on a mission.

But what brings them here? Is it a work-related trip, a personal getaway, or could it be that Panchayat is planning a special Assam-centric episode? As of now, The Story Mug cannot confirm or verify any of these speculations.

The buzz began after Durgesh Kumar (who plays Bhushan) shared a video on social media, in which he is seen conversing with Ashok Pathak (who plays Binod) about an upcoming visit to Assam.

However, the video makes it clear that it is not Bhushan and Binod, the characters, who are visiting—but rather the actors themselves. From the context, it appears the duo might be gearing up to make their debut in Assamese cinema.

In a blend of Assamese and Hindi, Kumar can be heard asking Pathak about some emerging gangs in Assam who seem to be causing trouble. To tackle the situation, the two are supposedly travelling to the state—though the dialogue is delivered in a humorous tone, leaving much open to interpretation.

While the video does not give away much, it certainly hints that something intriguing is in store.

Meanwhile, the teaser for the much-anticipated fourth season of Panchayat was released a couple of weeks ago, much to the delight of fans. Viewers were thrilled to see their favourite characters return for another season.

The burning questions remain: Who shot Pradhan Ji? Will Sachiv Ji and Rinki finally confess their love for each other? And will Bhushan and Binod have a change of heart and side with Pradhan Ji?

All will be revealed on July 2, 2025. Until then, all we can do is wait—and speculate!
