Aaranyak, in association with the Sonitpur East Division jointly organised a workshop on Identification of Birds, Mammals and Reptiles on December 14.
The workshop was organised for the forest staff and Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) members of Sonitpur East Division.
The workshop was held at Rangagora, Bihali Reserve Forest and it was inaugurated by Suhas Kadam, DFO, Sonitpur East Division.
The main aim of the programme was to create awareness and capacity building of the people for aiding conservation.

The programme included various topics like bird watching, reptiles and mammals identification.
Dr Rajeev Basumatary, Abidur Rahman and Arif Hussain interacted with the participants and made the session interactive.
There was also a bird-watching practical session at the Bihali Reserve Forest.
Monica Kishore Paspuleti, ACF, Sonitpur East Division, Filfila Basumatary, Range Officer, Borgang Range and Himadri Bhuyan were present in the programme.
