The iconic Lord's stadium in London is set to host the ICC World Test Championship final starting on June 11 next year.

The ICC confirmed the dates for this marquee Test clash, stating, "Lord's to host the third edition of the World Test Championship final from 11 June 2025."

The one-off Test will take place at the historic London venue from 11 to 15 June 2025, with 16 June reserved as a backup day if needed.

This will be the first time Lord's has been chosen for the World Test Championship final, with previous editions held in Southampton (2021) and The Oval (2023), won by New Zealand and Australia, respectively.

The match will feature the top two teams in the standings at the end of the current cycle, with Rohit Sharma's India currently leading ahead of reigning champions Australia.

The Men in Blue have reached both previous World Test Championship finals but have yet to secure the prestigious title.

There are still many points up for grabs, with New Zealand (third), Bangladesh (fourth), England (fifth), South Africa (sixth), and Sri Lanka (seventh) all in contention for a spot in the final.

Fans can register their interest for tickets, and ICC CEO Geoff Allardice anticipates high demand for this eagerly awaited contest.

"The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar, and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition," Allardice said.

"It is a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. Tickets will be in high demand, so I encourage fans to register their interest now to ensure they have a chance to attend the Ultimate Test next year," he added.
