Byatikram MASDO, on April 12, 2023, honoured Assam's Krishangee Gauree in Guwahati for making history by winning the Miss Queen of the World 2023 title.
Krishangee Gauree is the first Indian to be crowned "Miss Queen of the World" in the grand finale of the popular beauty pageant in New Jersey, USA.

"Modelling has been my passion since childhood. So, when I moved to the USA for higher studies, I decided to pursue my passion and turn it into a reality," Krishnagee said while interacting with the media.
"I participated as a contestant in the Miss Queen of the World contest, where women from different parts of the world came together on one stage. It felt like a dream come true when I was announced the winner," she said.

Krishangee has completed her MS in Business and Analytics from the Isenberg School of Management. After graduation, she started working as a financial analyst in New York. She is currently working as a corporate strategy consultant at Global Foundries.

The felicitation programme held at the Gauhati Press Club was attended by a host of dignitaries, including GATE Hospitals CMD D. Bedabrata Pathak, eminent singer Manisha Hazarika, and Krishangee's parents.
"An Assamese girl winning in an international pageant is a matter of pride. I would like to congratulate her for making all of us proud," said Manisha Hazarika, who celebrated her 73rd birthday at the press club on April 12 by cutting a cake.
