The 1st Battalion Disaster Response Force Guwahati conducted a joint mock drill on Rail Accidents and Response at Bongaigaon Yard of Rangiya Division of Indian Railways on July 5, 2023.

The mock drill was conducted under HPS Kandari as Chief Observer, Commandant 1st Bn NDRF.

The drill was conducted in the scenario of a major train accident

In this exercise, the rescue teams of NDRF, ART and other participants displayed commendable coordination in disaster management.

The teams created a realistic scenario during the exercise.

The Railway officials and the spectators highly appreciated the role of NDRF during the entire exercise.

The exercise concluded with a note to hold more such exercises in future for effective response in the event of a railway accident/disaster to save precious human lives.
