The Pride Of Being Different- a book by Mousumi Kalita Sachdeva, a Delhi-based author from Assam, will be honoured with the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Award 2021 in April this year.
The award has been initiated by Arpita Foundation and it will be presented at a function to be held in Mathura.
"I feel I have the most wonderful gift blessed by the Almighty today and that is the power of my pen," she said while interacting with The Story Mug.
"With this honour, I have to rebuild my trust in Literature lovers and social organisations who realise the true worth of art and services away from greed and profits of any kind," she added.
"This award is not my pride, but a force of encouragement to keep working hard and do justice with the skills I am gifted with," she said.
"It gives the satisfaction of living life with a purpose, the purpose to lead my pen towards the reformation of the society," she further said.
On being asked as to how would the award impact her as an author in the future, she said, "It would impact more to my personal growth than my career."
"This honour would be an identity of a writer who works on self-development and in turn, gains strength to voice for the right for the wellbeing of the society," she added.
Meanwhile, she has also been awarded by South India's Largest group of Educational Institutions- Nehru Group of Institutions in association with Motivational Strips, one of the World's largest Literary Forum for delivering poetry in the International Multilingual Webinar on World Poetry.
It may be mentioned here that Kalita on November 27, 2020, was honoured with the prestigious Suryagaurav Rashtriya Purashkar 2020 (Suryagaurav National Award).
The award has been bestowed on her for her valuable contribution in Global Literary Acumen, Skill Development Training and Missionary Services for the Community.
On August 15, 2020, she was honoured jointly by the Gujarat Sahitya Academy and Motivational Strips for showing literary excellence at par with global standards.
Mousumi Kalita Sachdeva has been an author of repute and over the years she has carved a niche for herself among book lovers across the globe.
Previously, Mousumi Kalita was also awarded as one of India’s most inspirational writer in 2018 by The Indian Awaz.
She has also been awarded Nobel Laureate Kabi Rabindranath Tagore Award 2020.
Mousumi Kalita has also been honoured at the Army Women Welfare Association Day in 2019 as India’s inspirational figure to the families of the Indian Army.
