Shop Named Corona Reaps Gold Amid Pandemic In Kerala

When George- a Kerala-based businessman, opened a shop seven years ago and named in Corona, little did he know that it would have a beeline of customers amid the global pandemic?

The shop is located in Kottayam’s Kalathippady and today the shop attracts customers galore- thanks to the global pandemic.

Well, rejoicing at the time of a pandemic may seem like a crime for many, but when the pandemic brings cheers then rejoicing it isn't a bad option.

“Due to the association of my shop’s name to the coronavirus pandemic, I am seeing more and more visitors coming in daily," hindustantimes.com reported quoting George from an interview with news agency ANI.

"The name of my shop is Corona nd the pandemic is also called coronavirus and hence my business is flourishing because of this,” he added.

Located in Kalathippady here, George sells plants, pots, plants, lamps, and other materials.

The shop was seen decorated with plants and lamps displaying the exclusive collection.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered Coronavirus.

It was earlier found out during November in 2019 in China.

Soon, the virus started spreading across borders and it was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
