The introduction of the G11 electric propulsion trike is a promising innovation and a potential game-changer in the quest for eco-friendly alternatives for conveyance.
To combat environmental degradation and reduce the use of combustion engine vehicles, Jaikhlong Daimary and Ruth Sangma have established Urjjah EV Mobility, a startup dedicated to popularising electric vehicles as a sustainable alternative for transportation.
Recognising that India's transport sector accounts for approximately 15% of the country's energy-related carbon emissions, the founders aim to provide eco-friendly alternatives for conveyance.
Despite facing financial constraints that prevented him from pursuing a career in Automotive Design, Jaikhlong refused to abandon his passion for creating automobiles.
Determined to realise his dreams, he embarked on a journey of procuring inexpensive old cars and refurbishing and customising them, leading to the inception of Urjjah EV Mobility.
Since its incorporation in 2021, Urjjah EV Mobility has successfully developed its first product, the G11, an electric propulsion trike.

Designed as a reversed trike with two front wheels and one rear wheel, the G11 stands out for its lightweight construction and exceptional energy efficiency.
It consumes just 1 unit of electricity to travel approximately 19 kilometres, a testament to its impressive performance.
Moreover, the absence of a clutch and gears contributes to a comfortable riding experience for drivers.
The startup has incorporated bamboo fibres into the vehicle's structure to enhance its eco-friendliness.
Initially, Urjjah EV Mobility plans to launch the G11 as an on-campus vehicle for universities, resorts, tea estates, and other settings.
Following further testing and validation, the founders plan to make the G11 a road-legal vehicle, expanding its accessibility to a wider audience.
With their commitment to providing sustainable mobility solutions and reducing carbon emissions, Jaikhlong Daimary and Ruth Sangma's Urjjah EV Mobility represents a significant step forward in India's transition to a greener transportation sector.
