Life is strange! It is something inexplicable. We don’t know what we may encounter the next moment. We don’t know when a happy moment turns sad and a sad turns happy. We face things that we least expect to face.

Sometimes it happens that we find a gust of happiness in the smallest of things and at other times, we are drenched in tears even though we have a lot to feel happy. It comes with surprises of equal magnitude.

When we are young, students we want to achieve so much in life. We work day in and day out and slog ourselves to achieve the goal that we have set for self. It is only some who finally reach the pinnacle and the zenith. And most of us falter in the way.

The reason for this may be many. For some it may be the situations there are in or go through and some it is simply their lack of will as the firepower and motivation that keeps them driving gradually fades out.

‘I wish this didn’t happen’, ‘I wish this happen this way’, ‘I wish I was a little more sensitive’ and this and that and there are so many wishes we ponder on once we face-off our failures, or rather say the paths that lead us to a destination of which we never dream at all.

But, what happens, happens after all. Life, after all, is not a wish-granting factory.

We meet doctors who could have been better authors or engineers who would have gone places had they pursued their passion for photography. But, life (as they say) has everything planned and chalked out for us.

No, I am not a believer of a predestined destiny, but on many occasions, I do believe it indeed is destiny for what I am today or what I may face tomorrow.

I also firmly believe that my yesterday made my today and my today will draft my tomorrow. But then again at the same time, this thought also comes to my mind that it is nothing but only my mind talking and giving me solace for the things that I could have possibly achieved but did not achieve.

Life is not a wish-granting factory, but life again is a place where we can achieve our every wish if we are true to life and make the right call at the right time.

Now, what are this right time and the right call? Again, it is only but a wish! And life is not a wish-granting factory.

Sonu Nigam very aptly sang, ‘Har ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi, Chaanv hai kabhi kabhi hai dhoop zindagi, Har pal yahan jee bhar jiyo, Jo hai samaa kal ho naa ho’.

True, ‘the clock of life keeps changing its colour every moment, what we have today, we may not have tomorrow, we should live every moment at its moment, as what we have today, we will not have tomorrow.’

But then again, living every moment at its moment is also a big wish as sometimes, our wishes for living the moment is not just linked with us but is also linked with several others.

After all, Life is everything but a wish-granting factory!
